Is orlistat being sold abroad?

Question: Regarding unavailable Orlistat - What is the "SUPPLY ISSUE" in reality? It is no good just stating "supply issue" because thisa could be anything. I would like to know because it appears you can get ORLISTAT in any Country in the world - APART FROM BRITAIN! One is lead to believe therefore that ORLISTSAT IS BEING SOLD ABROAD, FOR FINANCIAL GAIN,to the detriment of the British patients.

Answer:The manufacturer of Xenical, Roche, has not made any Xenical since February 2012. This means that no new supplies have been produced since then and as a result existing resources have now been depleted - the problem is worldwide. According to a recent press release there is still no Xenical being made and Roche do not know when they might resume production.
