I need a substitute for Orlistat

Question: I have a prescription for Olistat but cant get any anywhere, is there not a subsitute we could take instead?

Answer:Unfortunately, the orlistat supply issue is ongoing as of June 2012, which means any treatment containing orlistat (Xenical, Alli) remains out of stock. There is no comparable substitute since orlistat is the only weight loss medicine approved in the UK. Orlistat will hopefully become available again in the next couple of months. Meanwhile, you may wish to explore other weight loss programs such as a nutrition/diet/exercise plan. For further advice, please consult your regular GP or a nutritionist who will help you tailor a personal plan.
