Flixotide (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol)

Flixotide is a preventer inhaler used to treat the symptoms of asthma. Flixotide contains the active ingredients: fluticasone propionate. Fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid.

How it works

Corticosteroids are hormones which exist naturally in the body. They regulate inflammatory responses including those affecting the airways. Taking budesonide using an inhaler helps to decrease inflammation in the lung area.

Taking Flixotide

Follow your doctor’s instructions on how to use this medication and do not exceed the recommend amount.

The effects of this medication are not immediate. You should not use this medicine if you are having an asthma attack.
