Question: I have been doing some research on Viagra and its side effects and was hoping you could put my mind at ease. Is Viagra safe to take?

Answer:All medicines carry some risk of side effects; even those we never hesitate twice about taking (such as aspirin and paracetamol). The good news is that the vast majority of Viagra users have either no, or only minor, side effects.

The most commonly reported side effects include: Diarrhoea; dizziness; flushing; headache; heartburn; stuffy nose; upset stomach. These should clear up relatively quickly, but if they are persistent or intolerable it is worth discussing your treatment with your doctor.Should you experience any of the following severe side effects after taking Viagra, please seek medical help immediately:
Severe allergic reactions; chest pain; fainting; fast or irregular heartbeat; memory loss; numbness of a limb; one-sided weakness; painful or prolonged erection; ringing in the ears; seizure; severe or persistent dizziness; severe or persistent vision changes; sudden decrease or loss of hearing; sudden decrease or loss of vision in one or both eyes.
